Occupational Therapist School Setting in Henrico, VA

What we’re looking for:
• Valid Occupational Therapist license in Virginia (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience providing occupational therapy services within a school environment preferred
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to partner with teachers and support staff
• Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans
• Commitment to fostering inclusion, independence, and confidence in students
• Knowledge of IEP process and documentation requirements
Key responsibilities include:
• Delivering occupational therapy evaluations and direct services to students as outlined in IEPs
• Developing intervention strategies that support academic and daily living skill acquisition
• Consulting with teachers, aides, and families to integrate therapy goals into classroom routines
• Maintaining accurate, timely documentation and progress reports
• Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to multidisciplinary teams
• Monitoring student progress and modifying interventions as needed for maximum effectiveness
