Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Current licensure or eligibility to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the state
- Background working with students in a school setting, supporting a range of mild to moderate needs
- Familiarity with IEP development, goal writing, documentation, and participation in multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, families, and allied professionals
- Adaptability and time management for balancing caseloads across varied school sites
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative therapy services to students, both individually and in small group settings
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ functional needs within the school environment
- Develop and implement evidence-based interventions to promote students’ participation in academic and daily activities
- Document progress and maintain compliance with district and state guidelines
- Offer training and support to teachers and staff regarding strategies that benefit students’ occupational performance
