This in-person, contract position offers the opportunity to make a direct impact within schools, working primarily at the Clatsop Service Center and throughout Clatsop County. You’ll join a collaborative team dedicated to enriching the educational experience for every student.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted Occupational Therapist license (OTR)
- Previous experience working within school settings preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and special education guidelines
- Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate therapy interventions for a diverse caseload
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Energetic, flexible, and adaptable with a passion for helping children thrive
- Reliable transportation to service locations within Clatsop County
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy evaluations and interventions to students in person
- Develop goals and treatment plans tailored to individual student needs, supporting academic and functional participation
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
- Consult with educational teams and contribute to IEP meetings
- Provide training, resources, and support to educators and families to maximize student outcomes
- Maintain thorough, timely, and compliant documentation
This contract opportunity is available starting July 6, 2026. The assignment is temporary, continuing month-to-month until the position is permanently filled. This arrangement offers flexibility and the ability to make a real difference during a critical period of student development.
