Make a difference in student support as a contract Occupational Therapist working with school-aged children. This onsite, part-time opportunity involves providing services to four school sites, serving diverse student needs with dedication and expertise. Scheduling includes service delivery on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with PreK evaluations conducted on Fridays. The ideal candidate is prepared to supervise a COTA and is skilled in fostering student success across multiple settings.
Qualifications:
- Current, active Louisiana Occupational Therapist license
- Experience providing occupational therapy in a school environment
- Ability to supervise a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Efficient time management to navigate multiple school sites
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students at four local school campuses
- Complete PreK evaluations as assigned
- Oversee and supervise duties of a COTA
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with educators and families to develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Travel between school sites as needed within the local area
