Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Louisiana Occupational Therapist (OT) license
- Experience providing OT services within schools or similar pediatric settings
- Skilled in assessing, planning, and implementing therapy for students with a variety of needs
- Strong communication and documentation abilities
- Willingness to supervise a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Dedication to supporting a collaborative, student-centered environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver onsite occupational therapy services to students across four schools
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Maintain thorough and timely records in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multi-disciplinary teams to promote student success
- Supervise and mentor a COTA, supporting their professional development
- Adapt therapy techniques to meet the diverse needs of students
