Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active Louisiana OT license required
- Experience delivering occupational therapy within school settings
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Willingness to supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA)
- Ability to effectively serve diverse student populations across varied grade levels
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in compliance with IEP goals
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, monitoring progress and outcomes
- Collaborate regularly with educators, support staff, families, and other service providers
- Supervise assigned COTA, offering mentorship and oversight as needed
- Travel onsite between four local schools to ensure comprehensive coverage and continuity of care
Role Details:
- Contract runs from start date through May 21, 2027
- Part-time schedule: 20-25 hours per week
- Manage a varied caseload ranging through elementary to high school students
- Engage in ongoing documentation and reporting in alignment with district standards
