Occupational Therapist School Setting in Huntington Beach, CA

Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in California
- Previous experience in school-based OT settings preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt interventions to individual student needs
- Commitment to professional ethics and maintaining confidentiality
- Flexibility in managing schedules across multiple school sites
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver assessments and therapeutic interventions for students with varying needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in conjunction with teaching staff and families
- Track and document student progress, providing regular updates for educational teams
- Consult with teachers and staff to modify classroom environments for student success
- Promote student independence and participation in daily routines and academic activities
This assignment runs from August 28th, 2024, through November 20th, 2026, with a full-time workload of 40 hours per week. The position is close to the beach, providing a unique chance to blend professional experience with an appealing lifestyle.
