This full-time position offers you the flexibility to design your own weekly schedule (with support at the start of the school year) as you provide occupational therapy services at elementary, middle, and high school levels. Your professional expertise will help students gain greater independence and access to learning, enriching their school experience.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Missouri
- Experience in school-based settings is highly valued
- Demonstrated ability to organize, track, and prioritize a diverse caseload
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with students, teachers, and families
What You’ll Do:
- Serve an assigned caseload of approximately 32 students across several schools, delivering around 800 minutes of direct services each week
- Assess student needs, develop and implement individualized intervention plans, and document progress in compliance with educational and district standards
- Schedule and manage daily sessions, ensuring all assigned students receive weekly services
- Consult regularly with educational teams, attend meetings, and contribute to student goal setting
- Adapt interventions and adjust delivery methods to support students with varying needs
