This contract role offers the chance to work with a diverse caseload ranging from PreK through age 22. Position Highlights & Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Active California Occupational Therapy license.
- Previous experience in schools is highly desirable—candidates must be comfortable starting quickly and adapting to ongoing changes within the district.
- Strong skills in assessments, intervention planning, documentation, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
- Willingness to travel between multiple campuses in the San Juan Capistrano area, with itinerant placements focused either in the San Clemente or Mission Viejo areas.
- Must be available for an on-site role—remote work is not available.
- Able to provide services for a range of ages, from preschool to young adults (PreK – 22).
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group occupational therapy aligned with student IEPs.
- Assess, plan, and implement therapy goals in partnership with school staff and families.
- Travel to assigned schools; efficiently manage a dynamic and variable caseload.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to collaborative student planning.
- Maintain thorough documentation and compliance with all relevant educational regulations.
