Occupational Therapist School Setting in Irvine, CA

Step into a vital role supporting K-12 students as a school-based Occupational Therapist in the San Juan Capistrano area. This full-time contract opportunity is on-site and begins as soon as possible, running through April to cover a leave of absence. You'll help students at Marblehead Elementary achieve their educational and developmental goals during a period of transition.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Active California OT license
- Previous experience in school settings required
- Comfortable adapting to changes and confident working independently
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with teachers and families
- Willingness to start quickly and manage a caseload efficiently
- Please note: COTAs will not be considered for this position
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to a diverse caseload of elementary students
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized education program (IEP) goals
- Collaborate with educational teams and families to support student progress
- Maintain thorough documentation and timely reporting in line with district policies
- Assist in adapting materials, strategies, and environments to promote student participation
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional expertise during board meeting transitions
