In this role, you’ll deliver comprehensive occupational therapy services to a diverse caseload of students, ranging from 3K to 12th grade, offering support for a range of abilities. Your skills will help students access their education and achieve greater independence.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in South Carolina (or eligibility)
- Previous experience as an OT in a school setting preferred
- Familiarity with development and implementation of IEPs
- Ability to conduct screenings and comprehensive evaluations
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and school staff
- Adaptable and organized when working across multiple school sites
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy interventions to students
- Conduct student screenings, assessments, and re-evaluations as needed
- Develop, implement, and monitor progress on IEP goals and interventions
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
- Maintain clear and compliant documentation for services rendered
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive school environment
