School Occupational Therapist | Jefferson, South Carolina
Step into an engaging school-based opportunity, where your Occupational Therapy expertise will make a difference across multiple attendance areas. Serving students ages 3K through 12th grade, you will collaborate with a diverse range of learners and abilities, impacting lives from early childhood to adolescence. This full-time contract role begins July 22, 2026, and runs through May 28, 2027, providing consistent, meaningful work throughout the school year.
Your responsibilities will encompass the full spectrum of school OT services, including screening, evaluations, developing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and direct consultation. You will visit various school sites within the attendance areas, enriching your professional experience while ensuring accessibility of OT interventions for each student’s unique needs.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Active OT license (or eligibility) in South Carolina
- Previous experience in school-based settings preferred
- Confidence working with a wide range of ages and ability levels
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to travel between school sites as needed
Role Responsibilities:
- Screen and evaluate students to determine OT needs and eligibility
- Develop and implement effective IEPs and treatment plans
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services in compliance with educational standards
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families
- Monitor progress, maintain thorough documentation, and adjust interventions as appropriate
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students
