An exciting contract opportunity is available for a talented Occupational Therapist eager to make a difference in a school environment near Jersey City, NJ. This position offers part-time hours, working directly with elementary students in small group settings and supporting their developmental success.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to 1st grade students in a school-based environment
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support students' educational and functional goals
- Document and track student progress, updates, and communication effectively and efficiently
- Maintain compliance with state guidelines and district policies for therapy services
- Contribute expertise to interdisciplinary meetings when needed
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Valid New Jersey Occupational Therapy license (NJ OT)
- Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric caseloads preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation
- Professional, reliable, and proactive communicator with school staff and families
- Flexible availability to accommodate the following schedule: small group sessions, 2x weekly for one assignment (11:56-12:40 or select mornings), and 1x weekly for another (10:28-11:12 or alternate midday block)
- Comfortable providing services across two schools within the district
