Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Illinois
- Previous experience as an OT in school settings strongly preferred
- Skilled in assessment, IEP development, and documentation
- Ability to effectively collaborate with educators, families, and a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Positive attitude and a commitment to student-centered care
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed assessments to identify students’ needs
- Develop and implement effective therapy plans tailored to each student
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to integrate therapy goals within classroom environments
- Supervise and guide the COTA in daily activities and assigned tasks
- Document progress and participate in IEP meetings with accuracy and professionalism
- Adjust therapeutic approaches as needed to ensure optimal outcomes for students
