Occupational Therapist School Setting - Kansas City, KS

Bring your expertise in occupational therapy to an engaging role serving multiple schools near Kansas City, KS! This contract opportunity will provide you with the chance to manage a diverse caseload ranging from 50-60 students across several schools, including Camber, Bridges Academy, New Chelsea Elementary, Emerson Elementary, and Welborn Elementary. You’ll have the flexibility to design your own schedule, typically traveling to 1–3 schools per day, giving you control over how you structure your workweek.
What You’ll Bring:
- Active Kansas Occupational Therapy license (required)
- Previous experience in a school-based OT setting
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to independently manage a dynamic caseload
- Compassion and understanding working with students of varying abilities and needs
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and provide individualized occupational therapy services to students across a number of elementary schools
- Develop, implement, and monitor students’ therapy plans in accordance with IEP requirements
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student success in the classroom environment
- Keep thorough records of student progress and provide written reports
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering insight and recommendations for ongoing care
