Occupational Therapist School Setting in Kansas City, KS

Embark on an enriching opportunity supporting students across multiple educational settings in the greater Kansas City area. This contract occupational therapy role offers the chance to make a lasting impact on K-12 learners in a variety of schools, with the flexibility to design your own daily schedule. You’ll manage a caseload of approximately 50-60 students, working onsite at locations such as Camber, Bridges Academy, New Chelsea Elementary, Emerson Elementary, and Welborn Elementary. Your expertise will help students build crucial skills for academic success and everyday learning.
Qualifications:
- Must hold and maintain an active occupational therapy license in Kansas
- Experience providing OT services in school environments preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt to diverse school settings
- Passion for supporting student growth and collaborating with educators
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized and group therapy interventions for students in K-12
- Monitor progress and adjust strategies to meet each student’s unique needs
- Maintain detailed records in compliance with school, district, and licensing expectations
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to maximize student participation in academic activities
- Travel between assigned schools (averaging 1-3 visits daily) according to your own customized schedule
