Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid and active Occupational Therapist (OT) licensure in Louisiana
- Experience working with children and adolescents, ideally within school-based or pediatric settings
- Solid understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to partner effectively with educators, families, and colleagues
- Ability to provide thorough documentation and progress reporting
- Adaptability and a compassionate, student-centered approach
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct individualized assessments and develop treatment plans for students with diverse needs
- Implement direct therapy services, ranging from fine motor skills to sensory processing interventions
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student goals
- Assist in creating accessible learning environments and recommend classroom modifications
- Maintain meticulous records and contribute to IEP meetings and student progress reviews
- Share office space with PT & APE, and coordinate services efficiently with teammates
