Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Active South Carolina Occupational Therapist license required
- Previous experience in school-based OT or pediatrics preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork with teachers, students, and families
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to fit different ages and learning styles
- Proficiency in IEP processes and documentation
- Passion for empowering students toward greater independence and school participation
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students with a range of needs
- Develop, implement, and track progress on individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
- Conduct assessments, provide written evaluations, and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and parents to promote student success
- Travel between College Park Elementary and a secondary site, both manageable within the 37.5-hour weekly schedule
- Foster a supportive, inclusive learning environment for all students
