Key Qualifications:
- Active Washington state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT).
- Prior experience working in a school setting strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with adolescent developmental, sensory, and motor needs from upper elementary to high school populations.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, and families.
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive student assessments to identify OT needs and develop targeted interventions.
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students in grades 5-12.
- Collaborate with teachers and other related service providers to integrate OT strategies into the classroom.
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise and supporting documentation.
- Track student progress, adjusting intervention plans and goals as needed.
- Educate staff and families about OT supports and student needs.
