Make a positive impact in the school community by supporting students through occupational therapy services on a full-time contract basis. Work with a primarily elementary school caseload, along with some middle school students, and help learners reach their full potential in both academic and daily living skills.
Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist certification required
- Experience working with students in grades K-8 preferred
- Comfortable adapting interventions for a range of developmental stages from early childhood through middle school
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage schedules and caseloads independently
- Commitment to supporting individualized student goals in a school setting
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students
- Deliver direct therapy services, both individual and group, focused on improving students’ fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to monitor progress and modify interventions as needed
- Document evaluations, progress reports, and therapy notes in accordance with school policies
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide expertise on OT strategies to support educational access
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current on best practices and regulatory requirements
