Desired Qualifications:
- Current and valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of Michigan
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred, but open to candidates with strong pediatric backgrounds
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, support staff, and families
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ functional abilities and develop evidence-based, individualized intervention plans
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students with a range of needs
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise and recommendations tailored to each student’s goals
- Maintain accurate and timely records, including therapy notes and progress reports
- Adapt and modify classroom materials and environments to support student access and participation
- Engage in ongoing communication with teachers, administrators, and caregivers to monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed
