Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active OT licensure in the state of Maine (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred, but strong new graduates are encouraged to apply
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability working with diverse student populations
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess students to determine the need for OT services in accordance with IEP/504 plans
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, providing direct therapy and consultative services
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and fellow specialists to support student progress and participation
- Document evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and communicate findings to multidisciplinary teams
- Stay current with best practices and attend relevant professional development as needed
