Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy licensure and eligibility to practice in Texas
- Prior experience in a school-based OT setting strongly preferred
- Skilled in evaluating and addressing fine and gross motor needs in pediatric populations
- Comfortable working 1:1 with students and tailoring interventions individually
- Excellent communication abilities for collaborating with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to maintaining detailed documentation and meeting compliance requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement targeted OT plans for a diverse K-12 student caseload
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify motor skill challenges and areas for growth
- Deliver engaging, evidence-based therapy to foster independence and participation in school activities
- Collaborate with educators and caregivers to integrate therapeutic strategies into daily routines
- Track progress, prepare reports, and adjust interventions as needed to maximize student outcomes
- Provide leave coverage ensuring continuity of care and support for students and staff
