Step into a rewarding role serving K-12 students and making a positive difference in their lives as a school-based Occupational Therapist on a contract basis. With the school year underway, your expertise is needed to provide essential therapy services and support within a dynamic educational environment. This assignment is set to run from as soon as possible through June 4th, 2027, offering a consistent, full-time opportunity at 35 hours per week.
As a crucial member of the school’s multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate with educators and families to help students reach their fullest potential by supporting their educational and developmental goals through individualized and group interventions.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist license and certification in California
- Experience in a school setting, supporting K-12 students (preferred)
- Strong ability to develop and deliver treatment plans for diverse learning and physical needs
- Skilled in conducting evaluations, creating detailed assessment reports, and implementing evidence-based interventions
- Great communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive OT assessments to determine student needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and therapy sessions
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure coordinated student support
- Maintain accurate records and progress notes according to district and regulatory standards
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to professional dialogues as an OT subject matter expert
