Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a full-time Occupational Therapist supporting students ages 5–22 in a dynamic school setting. This assignment begins June 15th, 2026, and is expected to run for 6–8 weeks, with a Monday to Friday schedule from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. You'll make a significant impact by helping students achieve greater independence and success, working closely with educational teams to provide targeted, effective interventions.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current OT license valid in California
- Prior experience in a school-based OT role preferred
- Strong background in supporting students with a range of needs, including those with severe behaviors
- Ability to develop and implement IEP goals and appropriate therapeutic interventions
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Dedication to collaborative teamwork with teachers, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create individualized treatment recommendations
- Deliver direct therapy services tailored to meet diverse needs
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to promote student engagement and participation
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation for all services provided
- Contribute to IEP meetings and planning discussions
- Employ a variety of strategies to address sensory, fine motor, and adaptive skill development
- Support student success in and out of the classroom, focusing on functional outcomes
