Key Qualifications:
- Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in California
- Certification as an OT, with credentials suitable for school settings
- Proven experience or strong interest in working with elementary, middle, and high school students
- Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches for a mixed caseload
- Excellent organizational skills to manage assessments, documentation, and individualized plans
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and fellow educators
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students, tailored to individual education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments to determine students’ therapy needs and document progress regularly
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to facilitate student success and engagement
- Develop goal-oriented interventions and adapt strategies to address diverse learning styles and challenges
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with school and district policies
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute insights for program development
