Key Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state
- Previous experience in a school-based OT setting preferred
- Strong understanding of pediatric therapy techniques and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, teachers, and families
- Ability to adapt therapy plans to meet diverse student needs and developmental levels
- Organizational skills for effective case management and schedule coordination
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop tailored treatment plans for students with varying physical, developmental, or emotional challenges
- Provide direct therapy sessions individually or in groups to address students’ motor and sensory needs
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support classroom modifications and student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the creation of achievable, goal-oriented plans
- Maintain accurate documentation of services, progress notes, and required reports
- Support families and caregivers with strategies to reinforce therapy outcomes at home
