Your solid foundation—at least two years of recent, school-based occupational therapy experience—will allow you to seamlessly evaluate, plan, and implement interventions that help students thrive. You’ll collaborate with a welcoming, multidisciplinary team to foster students’ independence and promote their success both in the classroom and daily routines.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in California or eligibility for licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience delivering OT services in a school setting
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, able to engage effectively with students, staff, and families
- Organizational skills and flexibility to manage a full-time elementary caseload
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ needs and develop individualized intervention plans
- Work directly with elementary students, providing evidence-based therapy to support academic and functional participation
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff as an active member of the educational team
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP meetings
- Educate school staff and families on strategies and accommodations
