Occupational Therapist School Setting in Los Gatos, CA
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students’ growth and well-being as a part-time Occupational Therapist serving TK-5th grade learners. This contract role consists of 8 hours per week, across two weekday mornings (approximately 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM), ensuring you have the flexibility to maintain your work-life balance while making a tangible impact in school-based settings.
Your specialized skills and compassionate approach will help students achieve their fullest potential, working closely with educators and families to foster academic, social, and personal development during the 2026-2027 school year.
Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Current Occupational Therapist license in California
- Experience working with TK-5th grade students is highly preferred
- Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and school-based assessment tools
- Effective communication skills with children, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to develop and implement age and developmentally appropriate interventions
- Strong organization and documentation abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ occupational therapy needs within the school setting
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans tailored to each student’s unique strengths and challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to integrate therapy goals into students’ daily activities and instructional routines
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Provide consultation and training to support staff regarding strategies, accommodations, and adaptive equipment
