Your background should include:
- California licensure (or eligibility) as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous pediatric or school-based OT experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency in providing therapy services, assessments, and creating individualized intervention plans
- Flexibility for on-site work and willingness to travel between schools
- Solid communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Dedication to upholding professional standards and maintaining accurate documentation
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting assessments to determine students’ occupational therapy needs
- Developing and implementing therapeutic interventions within IEP frameworks
- Consulting with teachers, support staff, and families to foster students’ functional academic achievement
- Traveling between assigned school locations; mileage reimbursements provided
- Maintaining timely and thorough progress reports and records
