What You'll Need to Succeed:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in California
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to partner with educators, families, and support staff
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Exceptional organizational skills and flexibility
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group occupational therapy services to students from diverse backgrounds
- Assess students' functional abilities, develop treatment goals, and document progress in alignment with educational standards
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to facilitate carryover of therapy into the classroom
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning
- Provide input for adaptive equipment and environmental modifications as needed
- Maintain accurate, timely reports and student records in compliance with school guidelines
