Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Current and active state licensure in Occupational Therapy
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy is required
- Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in school settings
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that support IEP goals
- Strong communication and collaboration skills essential for working with faculty, families, and students
- Creative problem-solver dedicated to promoting student independence and participation
- Comfortable working full-time and on-site
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs and 504 plans
- Assess and document students’ functional skills and progress
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and other school personnel on strategies and accommodations
- Guide students in developing fine motor skills, adaptive behavior, self-care, and play/leisure skills
- Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and provide input on educational programming
- Educate and engage families and caregivers on how to support students’ progress at home
