Occupational Therapist School Setting in Minneapolis, MN

Multiple positions are available: two full-time year-long roles and one long-term substitute position (covering the first couple of months, with specific dates to be determined). You'll enjoy a consistent weekly schedule of 37.5 hours, working closely with a manageable caseload of 20–40 students, thoughtfully grouped in settings of four.
What we’re looking for:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license, with experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Knowledge of IEP process, pediatric assessments, and therapeutic interventions
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with educational teams and families
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Flexible and adaptable to meet varying student needs
- Commitment to fostering independence and functional skills in school-age children
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering occupational therapy services to students per IEP specifications
- Conducting assessments and documenting progress
- Collaborating with general and special education staff
- Communicating regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Participating in meetings, trainings, and professional development
- Serving a dedicated student group within one educational building, assigned to one of several local educational centers
