With full-time and part-time options available, you can help foster growth and learning for elementary-aged children in a supportive environment. The assignment is set in the San Juan Capistrano region, requiring on-site presence starting as soon as possible and continuing through April.
Qualifications & Experience Desired:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active California OT license required
- Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
- Comfortable serving elementary-aged students
- Ability to quickly integrate into established teams and manage a school caseload independently
- Clear oral and written communication skills
- Flexible, positive approach in a dynamic educational environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and address students’ occupational therapy needs as part of their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Implement evidence-based interventions to maximize students’ participation in school activities
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and related service providers
- Document services and progress
- Contribute to IEP meetings and planning, adapting quickly to changes in caseloads or schedules
- Maintain organized records per district and state guidelines
