This onsite contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact while working with a diverse caseload in a supportive school setting. Starting mid-August and running through early June, you'll collaborate closely with educators and families to help students achieve their functional and academic goals.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Experience in school-based OT services preferred
- Comfort with full-time, onsite caseload management for K-12 students
- Solid understanding of IEP processes, documentation, and compliance
- Ability to develop and implement effective interventions for a broad range of student needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Flexibility, organization, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Role Expectations:
- Assess students’ abilities and needs within a school context
- Create and execute individualized treatment plans within IEP guidelines
- Deliver direct therapy, group interventions, and consultation services to support student access to curriculum and daily activities
- Provide timely documentation, progress monitoring, and participation in IEP meetings
- Educate school personnel and families on strategies to facilitate inclusion and skill development
- Adjust interventions and supports based on evolving student and team needs
- Maintain compliance with all applicable policies and standards
