Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in California
- Proven, recent experience working as an OT in a school setting
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation requirements
- Ability to work with diverse student populations, including those with a variety of physical, emotional, and cognitive needs
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify students’ unique needs
- Develop and implement individualized and group therapy interventions to support student participation and performance in school activities
- Document student progress and maintain up-to-date records in compliance with regulations and district guidelines
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, other therapists, and administrators to create inclusive solutions and adapt classroom materials or environments
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student-centered goals
- Provide training and resources to school staff and families, supporting the carryover of strategies across settings
