Occupational Therapist School Setting in Moreno Valley, CA
Step into a rewarding contract role serving students across a dynamic school environment. This opportunity offers the chance to work hands-on with a caseload of approximately 34 students—primarily in elementary and middle school, covering the full range from kindergarten through grade 11/12. You’ll play an essential role for learners with primary eligibilities of Autism, Specific Learning Disability (SLD), and Other Health Impairment (OHI).
Working three days a week, you’ll dedicate between 22.5 to 24 hours weekly, providing focused interventions and meaningful support. The on-site schedule ensures that you’ll be part of a vibrant campus atmosphere, making a direct impact on student outcomes and collaborating closely with educators and allied professionals.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current credentials and licensure to practice occupational therapy within schools
- Experience working with students with Autism, SLD, OHI preferred
- Comfortable managing IEP compliance and documentation
- Expertise in developing and implementing school-based therapy plans
- Strong communication skills; able to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to adapt approaches for a range of grade levels and learning needs
- Commitment to fully on-site, in-person services
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct, individualized, and group therapy services to students on caseload
- Ensure thorough and timely documentation for IEPs and progress notes
- Coordinate with teachers, staff, and families to maximize student participation and achievement
- Stay engaged with ongoing evaluations and newly referred students
- Participate actively in campus meetings and support general school objectives
