What’s Needed:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Experience or strong interest in working with school-aged children in an educational environment
- Knowledge of IEP processes and therapeutic interventions for diverse student needs
- Ability to collaborate with educators, support staff, and families
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Commitment to supporting students’ academic achievement and independence
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to students, using evidence-based interventions
- Assess students to determine therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting and progress reporting
- Document services and maintain records in compliance with school requirements
- Consult and collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate strategies into the classroom
- Educate families and school members on occupational therapy supports
