Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Illinois
- Experience working with school-aged children is highly preferred
- Strong communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to develop and adapt treatment plans to individual student needs
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
- Flexibility and a positive, solution-focused mindset
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students’ motor, sensory, and functional skills
- Develop individualized treatment plans that align with students’ IEP goals
- Deliver direct therapy services in both group and one-on-one settings
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and multidisciplinary teams
- Educate staff and families on strategies to enhance student participation
- Document progress, maintain records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Adapt interventions as needed to promote success in the educational environment
