What We’re Looking For:
- Active OT license (or seasoned COTA strongly considered)
- Experience in a school-based setting, particularly with PreK populations
- Familiarity with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices and intervention strategies
- Strong background working with students on the autism spectrum (ASD) is preferred
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families
- Excellent communication, adaptability, and time management skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and design individualized OT programs for students, primarily in PreK with some K-12 cases
- Support communication and motor skill development, including integrating AAC devices into therapy and classroom routines
- Collaborate closely with educators and other support staff to implement effective interventions
- Document progress and maintain compliance with district requirements
- Provide training and consultative support to staff and families, fostering inclusive educational practices
