School Occupational Therapist | Nashua, New Hampshire
Step into a rewarding opportunity as a contract Occupational Therapist for the 2026-27 academic year. This assignment offers the chance to work in a dynamic educational environment, providing vital services to students from elementary through high school levels. The position spans two different school settings, where you’ll support caseloads of approximately 30-40 students, ensuring each receives the tailored care and attention they need to thrive.
This full-time role (35-37.5 hours per week) will begin ASAP and continue through June 2027, with initial 90-day contracts and the possibility for extension. School-based experience is highly desirable, as you’ll collaborate closely with educators and families to deliver therapeutic interventions and support student success within the K-12 spectrum. Candidates should possess flexibility, adaptability, and a passion for working with students with diverse needs. Please note, current opportunities are available for Occupational Therapists only.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Valid and active Occupational Therapist licensure
- Previous experience in school settings strongly preferred
- Expertise in providing therapy to K-12 students with various needs
- Ability to manage a caseload across multiple schools (elementary and high school)
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Versatility and willingness to adapt to evolving needs and schedules within a school environment
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive therapy and intervention to students on assigned caseloads
- Develop individualized treatment plans that address students’ needs and support educational goals
- Document progress and maintain clear records in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers and families
- Facilitate inclusion and participation of students in all school activities
