Key Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist license in Tennessee (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience working in school settings is strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP process, documentation, and service delivery
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, faculty, and families
- Ability to adapt interventions to meet a diverse range of student needs
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to students, focusing on improving independence and participation in school activities
- Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations to determine students’ occupational therapy needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s goals
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to integrate OT strategies into the classroom
- Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and required documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and professional development activities
