Occupational Therapist School Setting - New Britain, CT

Make a meaningful impact in schools by delivering vital occupational therapy services to students across multiple sites. This contract role offers the chance to foster growth and enhance participation for learners with diverse needs, working onsite with a supportive district team. The assignment runs from August 27, 2026, to February 9, 2027, offering a set, full-time schedule of 35 hours per week.
Key Qualifications:
- Possession of an active Connecticut Occupational Therapist (OT) license is required
- Previous experience in school-based occupational therapy is strongly preferred
- Flexibility and adaptability to work across various school environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with educators, families, and students
- Ability to plan and document student progress effectively
In this role, you will:
- Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to students at multiple schools within the district
- Assess, plan, and implement therapeutic interventions tailored to each student’s unique needs and IEP goals
- Work closely with special education teams, teachers, and other service providers to ensure a holistic approach
- Offer guidance to families on at-home strategies and progress
- Complete all necessary documentation and contribute to IEP meetings as required
