Occupational Therapist School Setting in New Britain, CT

Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapy license in Connecticut is required
- Previous experience in a school-based OT setting is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of pediatric and adolescent therapy interventions
- Ability to effectively manage a caseload across multiple schools
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Collaborative spirit and adaptability to work within diverse educational teams
- Proficiency in documentation and reporting per school and state guidelines
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy evaluations and individualized intervention plans for students with diverse needs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to integrate therapy goals into educational programming
- Document progress, maintain compliance with IEP mandates, and participate in team meetings
- Assist with district-wide screening and consult on classroom modifications to support students’ access to the curriculum
- Travel between assigned school sites as needed, ensuring continuity of care across the district
