This full-time, onsite position runs from August 2026 through May 2027, offering the chance to collaborate closely with a dedicated Physical Therapist, Adapted Physical Educator, and once-weekly COTA assistance in a shared office space. Ideal candidates will bring:
- A valid Occupational Therapy license and credentials required for school settings
- Previous experience as an OT in educational or pediatric environments
- Strong communication and organization skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with providing therapy across a broad range of elementary and middle school grades
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs and document student progress effectively
- Passion for empowering children and adapting strategies to diverse learning needs
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering comprehensive occupational therapy sessions for PreK-8th grade students
- Assessing, planning, and documenting interventions in alignment with each student's educational goals
- Consulting and collaborating with teachers, support staff, and families
- Maintaining regular office hours and ensuring clear communication with your PT, APE, and COTA colleagues
- Participating in multidisciplinary meetings and supporting IEP processes
- Traveling between classrooms within Moton Lakefront as needed
