Qualifications & Skills:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist in California
- Previous school-based OT experience preferred
- Strong understanding of pediatric therapy principles
- Ability to design, implement, and track individualized student intervention plans
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Organized, flexible, and passionate about helping students achieve their potential
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
- Assess, document, and monitor student progress, adapting techniques as needed for individual needs
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to create supportive learning environments
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational goals and accommodations
- Offer consultation and training for staff and families on best practices and strategies
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all school, district, and professional requirements
