A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist seeking a full-time, contract position for the remainder of the school year. This role involves providing essential therapy services within an educational setting, making a direct impact on students’ functional abilities and academic success. The position starts as soon as possible and runs through the end of the current school year.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to support students’ needs
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress
- Consult with educators and participate in student support meetings as required
- Provide therapy in both school-based and, if needed, home health environments
- Maintain records and comply with all documentation and reporting requirements
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid state license or eligibility for occupational therapy practice
- Experience in school or pediatric therapy—additional home health or general healthcare OT background is a plus
- Knowledge of current best practices in occupational therapy within schools
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to start promptly and commit through the school year’s end
