Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity providing essential support to preschool students as a skilled Occupational Therapist. This position is designed to cover a staff member’s medical leave, running from November 2 to December 4 (excluding November 23–27 for holiday break). The role is located in a welcoming early learning environment, where your expertise will make a genuine difference for young learners.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and current Occupational Therapy license
- Previous experience providing services in school or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong understanding of IEPs and school-based therapy practices
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with students, staff, and families
- Compassionate and patient approach toward working with preschool-aged children
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct timely, compliant evaluations for preschool students
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services in alignment with individualized education programs
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress notes as required
- Collaborate with special education teams and contribute to student success plans
- Offer recommendations for accommodations and interventions to support student participation
Role Details:
- Caseload consists of 23 preschool students in a single building
- Regular schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:15 a.m.–3:45 p.m. (7.5 hours per day)
- Location: A supportive and resource-rich early learning center environment
