You'll collaborate closely with educators and families, helping learners access curriculum and develop essential life skills. Enjoy a structured day with work hours from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, providing specialized interventions tailored to a diverse caseload.
What You’ll Bring:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OTR) license issued by the Texas Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners (ECPTOTE)
- Experience or strong interest in supporting students in school settings (elementary through high school)
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Ability to adapt strategies to meet a range of student needs and abilities
- Dedication to fostering student independence and participation in academic and daily activities
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students’ needs to develop individualized occupational therapy plans
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services for a caseload of approximately 45–60 students, ranging from kindergarten to 12th grade
- Work collaboratively with teachers, families, and other specialists to support each student
- Provide documentation, progress reports, and participate in IEP/ARD meetings
- Recommend adaptive equipment and classroom modifications as appropriate
- Stay current with best practices and compliance requirements
