An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist eager to make a difference in a dynamic school environment. This full-time contract position runs through June 2027 and supports a diverse K-12 caseload, impacting the lives of 45–60 students depending on service needs. Each day, you’ll contribute to students’ academic and personal growth by delivering high-quality onsite occupational therapy services.
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license (OTR) through the Texas Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners (ECPTOTE)
- Previous experience in school-based settings highly preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Passion for supporting students with varied developmental needs
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and develop individualized treatment plans for K-12 students
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services in accordance with IEPs
- Maintain accurate student records and documentation
- Communicate progress and strategies with teachers, staff, and families
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
- Adapt interventions and materials to accommodate a range of abilities and learning environments
- Ensure compliance with all state and district guidelines
This position offers consistent hours (8:00–4:00, Monday through Friday), providing you with the opportunity to establish lasting relationships across grade levels and collaborate closely with fellow professionals.
