Occupational Therapist School Setting - Oakland, CA

Ideal candidates possess:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of California
- Previous experience in a school-based environment or with pediatric populations
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication and organizational skills to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and adapt to changing school needs
- A passion for helping students overcome challenges and reach their fullest potential
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting assessments and ongoing evaluations to determine students’ needs
- Developing and implementing therapy plans tailored to individual goals
- Documenting progress and adjusting approaches as needed
- Participating in meetings with educators, specialists, and families to craft effective strategies for each student
- Providing training and resources to teachers and staff on techniques that support students’ motor skills and independence
- Maintaining up-to-date records in line with school and legal requirements
