Licensed Certified Occupational Therapist School Setting in Oceanside, CA
Step into a rewarding opportunity working with elementary students as a certified Occupational Therapist in a full-time, contract role starting as soon as possible and continuing through the end of the school year. Located near beautiful Oceanside, CA, this position provides the chance to make a meaningful impact across several elementary schools.
You’ll manage a diverse caseload of approximately 80 students, leveraging your expertise and compassion to help children reach their fullest potential within the educational setting. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license (California) and certification required
- Experience providing OT services in a school or pediatric setting (elementary school experience highly preferred)
- Familiarity with IEP processes, documentation, and collaboration with educational staff
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to travel between multiple sites as needed
- Passion for working with diverse student populations and supporting their academic and functional growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to elementary-aged students within multiple schools
- Assess student needs and develop individualized treatment plans in coordination with IEP teams
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation and progress reports
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate strategies in the classroom
- Provide guidance on adaptive equipment and modifications as necessary
- Promote student independence and participation in daily school activities
