Key Qualifications:
- Hold a current and valid Florida Occupational Therapist (OT) license
- Previous experience in pediatric, school, home health, or healthcare OT settings is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of evidence-based occupational therapy interventions for school-aged children
- Demonstrated ability to provide supervision to COTAs, ensuring adherence to state and federal guidelines
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Reliability and confidence in working independently onsite for approximately 10 hours per week
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality occupational therapy evaluations, treatment, and documentation according to IEP and student goals
- Oversee and mentor COTAs, ensuring clinical quality and compliance
- Partner with teachers, other therapists, and school staff to integrate therapeutic interventions into daily routines
- Communicate progress and collaborate effectively with families and school stakeholders
- Participate in team meetings, professional development initiatives, and ongoing training
- Utilize available mentorship resources to remain current with best practices and regulations
